G1000 GROUND SCHOOL
The goal of our G1000 training is to transition pilots from the traditional panel (Nav I) to the Technically Advanced Aircraft (Nav III) . The Nav III, commonly referred to as the G1000 system, incorporates an Electronic Flight Information System (EFIS), GPS with moving map display, and an autopilot. Because of time constraints and needs of our customers, the training is not designed to make you an expert on the G1000. Instead, our goal is to provide you with the tools you need to begin using the system.
The ground school is approximately 3 hours in duration and topics include:
• Overview of System Components
• Thorough understanding of the Primary Flight Display, with a strong emphasis on the Multi-Function Display
• Overview of Flight Management System
The flight portion of the training will cover basic VFR operations, a variety of instrument approaches, and abnormal/emergency procedures.
At the completion of the G1000 ground school, you will receive a G1000 Quick Reference Card, as well as a logbook endorsement certifying that you have completed our ground school.
The cost of the ground school is $40. As an incentive to meet your G1000 check-out requirements, we will offer our G1000 aircraft at a block rate of $125/hr.
