"The engine is the heart of an airplane, but the pilot is its soul."
|
| Contrary to popular belief, renters are not covered by the FBO/Flight School's insurance. The FBO/Flight School's insurance policy only protects the FBO/Flight School. If an airplane you rent for pleasure, business, or flight training is damaged, you may be held responsible for the damage up to and beyond the insurance deductible, which can be $2,500 or more.
Therefore, all renters (except customers on Checkout Flights, Flight Reviews, or Instrument Proficiency Checks) will be required to provide a copy of a valid Renter's Insurance policy.
Avemco offers highly comprehensive non-owned liability and physical damage insurance coverage designed especially for you.
Click the "Avemco" logo to obtain more information or purchase your insurance policy. Total comprehensive coverage can be obtained for as little as $215 per year.
